CATFISH

Created with DiDa There are three groups of catfishes. The large bodied, usually forked tailed species, commonly referred to as channel catfish. The bullheads, which are smaller in form with rather square tails, which usually inhabit ponds and lakes. The third group is the Madtoms which are usually no more than 5 inches or so. The Madtoms are the most dangerous as they can produce a strong venom which can give an unsuspecting person a very painful wound. This site takes a closer look at the Channel Catfish.
