Transfer credit will be granted only for courses completed with a minimum grade equivalent to C- (60%) at McMaster University. Grades for these courses will not appear on McMaster transcripts and are not included in McMaster averages.
It is the students' responsibility to ensure that official transcripts are sent to the Office of the Registrar, McMaster University. For students expecting to graduate at Spring convocation, transcripts must be received by May 15 (Bachelor of Health Science students - May 1). For students expecting to graduate at the Fall convocation, transcripts must be received by September 30. Failure to have an official transcript sent to clear Letter of Permission work will result in a Failure by Default being assigned.
Should a student choose not to use their Letter of Permission or cancel a course(s), the student must supply their Faculty Office with a transcript showing the cancel courses or a certified letter from the institution, confirming they were not registered for the permitted courses and session.
Minor: Only 6 units of work may be taken on letter of Permission for the Minor.
Course(s) equivalents for required course(s) must be approved by the appropriate Department.
If this course is a prerequisite for another Faculty, it is your responsibility to ensure that it is acceptable to that Faculty
