What is WHMIS 1A00 (SCIENCE 1A00)?

WHMIS 1A00 (SCIENCE 1A00) is a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Health and Safety course that will teach you some basic lab safety. This course is a corequisite for all laboratory courses (ie. BIOLOGY 1A03, CHEM 1A03, ENVIR SC 1B03, PHYSICS 1B03). Once you have successfully completed WHMIS 1A00, you do not need to re-take WHMIS 1A00 in subsequent years if you take additional courses that list WHMIS 1A00 as a corequisite.
You will not be assigned a section for this course, but instead will be expected to complete the web modules independently by early September. You are required to complete this course prior to participating in your first lab.
