JOINING THE TRUANT LAB: There are several exciting projects related to Huntington’s disease in this lab that use a wide spectrum of techniques in cell biology and biochemistry. We are looking for highly motivated students and post-doctoral fellows to learn a critical toolbox of skills that can be applied to any basic research or disease focus in the future. How to apply: 1. Learn about Huntington’s disease through the HSC website and understand what impact your efforts will have on the lives of these families. 2. Read our publications and understand our hypotheses and approaches to understanding HD. 3. Write Dr. Truant and explain why you want to work in this lab. For graduate studies, contact me in the early new year, for senior thesis projects, February-March of the proceeding year, and for post-doctoral positions, any time. Group emails obviously sent to many PIs at once will not be responded to. Students can enter the lab through the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences Graduate program, the Chemical Biology Program, or the MiNDS program.
