Graduate Courses:

  • Earth Sc 6C03 - Advanced Physical Climatology
    • Energy and mass exchange processes in the near surface layer, the lower atmosphere and at the earth-atmosphere interface are developed. Sensitivities of these processes to environmental change and feedback mechanisms are examined. Seminars and individual presentations are emphasized.

  • Earth Sc 755 - Bio- and Hydro-meteorology
    • This course focuses on global, regional and local energy, water and carbon cycles. The aim is to teach the theory and practical aspects of the turbulent trace gas and energy exchanges from vegetated surfaces, data analysis techniques and surface exchange modeling. Typically the class meets once a week for three hours. Each session comprise a lecture given by instructor on a select topic related to bio and hydro-meteorology and over all course objectives, followed by a seminar given by one of the students. Seminar would be followed by a discussion about student seminar. The class participants, in consultation instructor, will decide about the presentation topics.
