Dr. Eduard G. Reinhardt, Professor,

Research opportunities (MSc and PhD) exist in stratigraphic analysis of paleontological records with applications in paleoclimate and sea- level change.  Research directions include event stratigraphy (tsunamis and hurricanes - Oman and Caribbean), anchialine cave sedimentary records of sea-level and climate change (Yucatan, Mexico) and marine geoarchaeology(British Columbia and Italy).

Dr. James M. Smith, Professor

Currently there are fully funded openings for graduate students to join my Subsurface Contaminant Hydrology Research Group. Graduate students under my supervision can pursue M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees in Geology or Physical Geography in the School of Geography and Earth Sciences, or, M.Eng. or Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering. We have the facilities, expertise, and funding to provide a unique and high quality experience and education in subsurface hydrology here at McMaster.
