The Imperial Oil Learning Initiative Project began
on May 1, 2002. This project included four specific goals:
1. To enhance SGES programs to allow all students
to graduate with an integrated theoretical and real world knowledge
base in their subject area and sufficient practical experience to
confidently apply this knowledge to 'real world' problems and situations.
2. To enhance SGES programs to allow all students
to graduate with a comprehensice suite of personal transferalbe

approaches to teaching and learning, fosters continuing communication
between students, facult and staff and allows instructors to continually
develop their educational skills.
