At McMaster each course is 3 units. Students take 10 courses per year, five per term. iSci takes up the spot of 8 courses in first year, 6 in second year and 4 in third and fourth year. Electives can be in any area a student chooses. For most students in iSci, electives are taken in a concentration area.
