Research

My two main areas of interest are Modern Dance and Body, Mind, Spirit concepts. In my position as Artistic Director of McMaster Dance Company, I produce, direct and choreograph dance works. My work has been produced in Canada, England, France and USA. My emphasis is on the creative process, novel ideas, and multimodel dance training. I also direct my professional dance company, The Parahumans Dance Theatre. Our work, much of it theatrical in style, focuses on social, esoteric and futuristic issues, and incorporates acting, voice and stage combat. My other area of dance research, involves developing dance in the community and at the recreational level, and dance film-making.

I am involved in Body, Mind, Spirit issues through personal participation in meditation and healing activities with groups. I teach practice in these areas, and have worked with professional and Olympic level athletes in event preparation.
