chemistryWelcome to Chemistry & Chemical Biology Outreach at McMaster!

Using the links on the left you will find information about our various outreach programs. These include meetings between high school teachers and faculty in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology (Community of Chemistry Teachers) and Physical Sciences@Mac Activities held in December and April for grade 11 and 12 chemistry and physics classes. This year we wil launch an online Chemistry contest to take place in May 2011. Details coming soon.

High School Chemistry teachers and students are very welcome to view a series of Chemistry Video Tutorials and Podcasts that have been developed to give students a further understanding of principles covered in 1st year university chemistry courses.  We hope they will be a useful tool for both teachers and students of high school chemistry courses.

We invite high school students and teachers to participate in the Engineering and Science Olympics on Thursday, October 6, 2011.

Children and adults alike will enjoy our annual Magic of Molecules Public Show in celebration of National Chemistry Week on Saturday, October 22, 2011.

Teachers of elementary and secondary science are encouraged to explore the opportunities offered by Let’s Talk Science.

Everyone is most welcome at the Origins Institute Public Lecture Series, and Science in the City Lectures.
