Dialogue on Transition Issues Print E-mail

Welcome

Each year, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics hosts a Dialogue on Transition Issues with math teachers in the region. We invite teachers to share their insights and experience in regards to grade 12 math courses and we discuss how Level I math courses at McMaster have changed to adapt to changes in the high school mathematics curriculum.

These dialogues have been well-attended by math teachers and math heads in the region and the information we have gathered from them has been shared with other departments in the Faculty of Science and other faculties in the university, including Engineering and Business. Topics for this year's Dialogue will be announced soon.

If you are a grade 12 Math Teacher, Math Head, Guidance Counselor, or Secondary School Principal, we would welcome your attendance at our next Dialogue on Transition Issues to be held on Thursday, February 7th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Gilmour Hall, room 111. Please take a ticket to lift the parking gate at one of the lots on campus. At the Dialogue, you will be issued a rebate parking pass that you can use to lift the gate on your way out. The lot near the Sterling St. entrance is closest to Gilmour Hall.
