Welcome to Physics & Astronomy Outreach at McMaster! Using the links on the left you will find information about our various outreach programs.

These include regular meetings between high school teachers and faculty in the Department of Physics & Astronomy (Community of Physics Teachers) and Physical Sciences@Mac Activities held in December and April for grade 11 and 12 physics and chemistry classes.

We invite high school students and teachers to participate in the Engineering and Science Olympics held each October.

We are excited to offer a Physics@Mac Online Physics Competition for students in Grades 11 and 12 to be held on Dec. 6, 2011.

We also offer a Physics@Mac Video Contest for students in Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. We invite you to take a look at last year's winning submission based on Grade 10 Optics. This year's contest will focus on a topic from Grade 9 Science  and the submission deadline is May 18, 2012.

Teachers of elementary and secondary science are encouraged to visit the McCallion Planetarium with their classes and to explore the opportunities offered by Let’s Talk Science. This fall also marks the launch of McMaster's 3D Theatre, which will offer private and group shows on specific weekdays and times. Please consult the schedule on the website and register onlne. Everyone is most welcome at weekly Public 3D Theatre Shows monthly Public Planetarium Shows, the Origins Institute Public Lecture Series,  and Science in the City Lectures.
