September 17: Denys deCatanzaro, Tyler Pollock, Lucas Greville, and Paul Faure have a bat hormone paper accepted into the journal General and Comparative Endocrinology. This work formed part of Lucas's BSc Honours Thesis. Congratulations!
September 04: MSc candidate Lucas Greville joins the McMaster Bat Lab.
August 06: Alejandra-Ceballos Vasquez successfully defends her MSc thesis. Congratulations!
June 19: Alejandra Ceballos-Vasquez is admitted to the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Congratulations!
May 01: Nabil Khaja receives an NSERC USRA for the summer of 2014. Congratulations!
March 05: Brock Fenton, Paul Faure and two bats (Pink 49 and Pink 45) from the McMaster colony attend a funding announcement by the Honourable David Orazietti, Ontario Minister of Natural Resources, at the High Park Nature Centre in Toronto for an Urban Bat Project funded by the Species at Risk Stewardship Fund from the Ontario MNR.
February 02: James Morrison, Faranak Farzan, Thane Fremouw, Riziq Sayegh, Ellen Covey, and Paul Faure have an electrophysiology research paper accepted into the Journal of Neurophysiology. This work formed part of James's BSc Honors Thesis. Congratulations!
January 28: Riziq Sayegh, John Casseday, Ellen Covey and Paul Faure publish an electrophysiology research paper in The Journal of Neuroscience. Congratulations!
January 23: Alejandra Ceballos-Vasquez, Ryan Caldwell, and Paul Faure have a paper acccepted describing the McMaster bat restrainer in the journal Acta Chiropterologica. Congratulations!

October 30: Jonathan Lai, Monica Sobala-Drozdowski, Linghong Zhou, Laurie Doering, Paul Faure, Jane Foster have a paper accepted describing ultrasonic vocalizations of fragile X knockout mice in the journal Behavioural Brain Research. This work was part of Monica's BSc Honors Thesis. Congratulations!

September 01: Meghan Murrant, Jeff Bowman, Colin Garroway, Brian Prinzen, Heather Mayberry, and Paul Faure publish the first description of ultrasonic vocalizations emitted by flying squirrels (and on Paul's birthday too). Congratulations!
August 8: Julia Kilgour, Paul Faure and Mark Brigham have a paper accepted describing social preferences in big brown bats in the Canadian Journal of Zoology. Congratulations!
July 16: Dr. Riziq Sayegh successfully defends his PhD thesis and subsequently takes a job at Enable Education. Congrats Riziq! (Dr. Riziq)
June 14: Natalie Cheng receives a Canada Graduate Research Award (CGS M) from NSERC for her upcoming work at the University of Western Ontario. Congratulations!

July 30: Riziq Sayegh, Brandon Aubie and Siavosh Fazel-Pour publish an electrophysiology original paper in Frontiers in Neural Circuits. Congratulations! 
June 18: Brandon Aubie defends his dissertation and becomes the first batlab PhD student to graduate. Congratulations!
May 7: Natalie Cheng receives Undergraduate Summer Research Award (USRA) from NSERC. Congratulations!
