2011

Oct 29: Brandon Aubie wins the Titley Scientific Award for his talk at the North American Symposium for Bat Research.  Congratulations!
May 11: Riziq Sayegh awarded an OGS scholarship for 2011-2012.  Congratulations!
January 22: Riziq and Brandon publish first Bat Lab electrophysiology paper in the Journal of Comparative Physiology A.  Congratulations!
January 1: PhD candidate Joel Jameson joins the McMaster Bat Lab.

May 3: Brandon Aubie passes his PhD candidacy exam. Congratulations!
April 26: Riziq Sayegh passes his PhD candidacy exam. Congratulations!
March 19: Heather Mayberry awarded a NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGSM). Congratulations!

November 21: Brandon Aubie gets married!

August 3: Riziq Sayegh breaks his collarbone in a motorcycle accident.
June 25: Brandon Aubie and Riziq Sayegh promoted to PhD program.
June 11: Suganth Suppiah awarded both Dr. Sina Sazgar Memorial Scholarship
and the Herbert A. Ricker Scholarship for outstanding academic performance.
May 15: former Batlab member Navid Khezri admitted to undergraduate medical  program at University of Toronto.
February 28: Heather Mayberry awarded Undergraduate Summer Research Award
(USRA) from NSERC. Congratulations!

 

2007

December 12: Paul Faure and R#36 appear on the Jon Dore Television Show
(Comedy Network).
November 1: Brandon Aubie awarded a NSERC Postgraduate Scholarship Award
(PGS-M). Congratulations!

August 29: Marie Gadziola receives the Abe Black Memorial Prize for the best
