Cognition and Perception

      Being at McMaster has really made me aware of the complexities of the human mind. Not only are we able to take a variety of courses about how our cognitive processes influence our behaviour and perception of the world; we are also given the opportunity to participate in lab and thesis courses that allow us to design and carry out experiments based on knowledge gained throughout university. The mind is unfathomably complicated. The complexities and detail required in creating experiments that tackle how we think, is a task that challenges your logical reasoning and is ultimately satisfying. McMaster’s reputation in the cognitive sciences and also the curiosity in understanding the most complicated structure in the world - is the reason why I continue to study cognition.
