Science Career & Cooperative Education (SCCE) provides support to students in the areas of co-op, careers and experiential education. We strive to engage all science students in a comprehensive journey to identify their career goals and develop strong external partnerships with the greater scientific community.
SCCE offers free services to support your recruitment and promotional strategies including job posting on our online recruitment system, facilitating on-campus interviewing and hosting career and promotional events. We look forward to building a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with you.
Opportunities for employers to make career connections with science students can include:
- Recruiting students for part time or summer employment
- Hiring a new graduate
- Participating in a career fair
- Hosting a company information session
- Participating in a career event
Hosting an experiential education student can provide short term assistance with projects while mentoring a talented science student.
- Paid science internships
- Short term (non-paid) applied placements for academic credit
Science co-op students bring new perspectives and experiences to your organization and are ready to apply their academic training in a practical, real-world setting. Hosting a co-op student helps with short time staffing needs and serves as a great screening process for future candidates
Students meet the high academic and work readiness requirements needed to be successful in one of the following co-op programs for either 4 or 8 month work terms.
