Experiential Learning: What's it all about?
Experiential learning is an essential component to the study of Geography and Earth Sciences. Learning through experience allows students to learn outside the classroom and explore their chosen field in practical situations. Experiential learning is incorporated into the McMaster SGES programs to allow all students to graduate with an integrated theoretical and real world knowledge base in their specific subject area. Students who are sufficiently supplied with practical experience opportunities are equipped with the tools to confidently apply knowledge to 'real world' problems and situations.
