In-Person Tour Information

We are not offering In-Person Science Tours at this time. We hope you will consider joining us for our next in-person event May@Mac.

Welcome to McMaster Faculty of Science Lab & Facility Tours.

The Faculty of Science is one of McMaster's largest faculties, with over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students, seven Level I program, and 39 programs, which begin in Level II.

Applying to university and deciding on a program of study can be overwhelming. To help you make an informed decision, we invite you to take a in-person Science Tour to see what the Faculty of Science at McMaster University has to offer.

This 60 minute tour is led by current undergraduate students from a wide range of science programs. The tours highlight the labs, facilities and services used by students in Level I Science programs. Tours are free of charge.

GROUP SIZE: At this point in time, tour registrations are limited to two guests per household (i.e. 1 prospective student + 1 visitor).

If all dates on the calendar are filled please keep checking back for cancellations or additional dates.

Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions to the capacity limits. Only confirmed registered guests will be allowed to participate in a tour. We do not allow walk-in tour guests. We thank you for your understanding as we keep guest, student and staff safety as our top priority.

COVID-19 Protocols & Procedures:

To help keep you, your guests and our team safe, there are a few steps you must complete to visit campus. Please note that every visitor must be fully vaccinated without exception. To come to campus, you and every member of your party must complete these important steps:

  1. Download the McMaster Safety App.
  2. Upload proof of full vaccination at least one hour prior to attending campus. Proof of vaccination may include official vaccination receipts, a QR code supplied by the government or other official documentation or record.
  3. Complete the provincial COVID-19 self-assessment screening within one hour of attending campus.

While on campus, you must comply with all applicable University health, safety and environmental programs and policies. This includes wearing masks in all indoor spaces.

There are no exceptions to the vaccine mandate policy for visitors to McMaster’s campus. Should you not be able to complete these steps, you can sign up for a live virtual tour. This virtual option is not Faculty of Science specific but will cover the entire university.
