The School of Geography & Earth Sciences (SGES) is committed to providing an innovative, stimulating and rewarding learning experience for all undergraduate students. A number of award-winning professors teach in our programs.
Through our ongoing curriculum development process we have created new and exciting undergraduate programs that lead to either Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees. We have many field-based and hands-on learning opportunities.
The Earth and Environmental Science program fulfills the academic requirements to become a Professional Geoscientist through the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO).
The Minor in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) program fulfills the academic requirements to become a certified GIS Professional (GISP) through the GIS Certification Institute.
