iSci Society

The iSci Society is the student group representing all iSci students.  The executive is elected through an annual election, and all other students can be involved through Society-run events and the many committees. If you have any questions regarding the iSci program, the iSci Society or life as an iSci student please don't hesitate to e-mail us at:  

Our Goals

  • Fostering the growth of the iSci program.

  • Developing a fun, social community inclusive of all students.

  • Making our presence known to the McMaster, Hamilton, and global communities.

  • Promoting academic success for all students.

The iSci Society executive consists of eleven elected positions.  It is responsible for representing iSci to the greater McMaster community and for communication among committees.

Social Committee

The Social Committee organizes events that promote community within the iSci student body.

Past events have included: 

  • Development and sales of iSci merchandise 
  • Bowling & Dinner
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Year-End Picnic
  • Christmas Secret Santa

Academic Committee

This group represents iSci students to faculty and organizes events that promote academic success.

Past events have included:

  • Student-led exam review sessions
  • Physics help sessions     
  • Student feedback to improve iSci

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is an important time for 1st year students. The iSci society is also responsible for welcoming new students into the program and facilitating the transition to University
