Job ShadowJOB SHADOW WEEK http://studentsuccess.mcmaster.ca/experience/job-shadow.html Job Shadow Week provides students with valuable exposure to work environments, a better understanding of the demands of the working world, and information on the different career opportunities out there. By participating in job shadow week, students can identify career options that are a good fit for their future through observation and interviewing their Job Shadow Professional. Job Shadow professionals volunteer their time to meet with you for either a half day or a full day. Teacher's CollegeTEACHER'S COLLEGE INFORMATION SESSION
Thinking about a career in teaching? In October, we welcome representatives from teacher education programs across Ontario and abroad to meet with McMaster students and discuss admissions requirements, accepted teachable areas, overseas certification and application deadlines. The Community Engagement and Volunteer Fair is offered annually by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Experiential Education in partnership with Volunteer Hamilton and the Student Success Centre. At the fair, community agencies showcase their organizations and highlight opportunities for students who are interested in gaining volunteer experience. The Fair is hosted in October in the McMaster University Student Centre. Attend this event and be exposed to the numerous opportunities and volunteer agencies within the City of Hamilton and surrounding areas. Job Finding Boot CampJob Finding Boot Camp McMaster’s Job Finding Boot Camp is for graduating students and new alumni who are ready to commit to a full time job search. Facilitated in a group setting and with the support of fellow job seekers and the assistance of our Career and Employment Staff you will engage in a 4 day intensive program designed to teach you the most effective means of finding work in the field in which you want to be employed. The Boot Camp is open to 15 participants. In order to be eligable for the Boot Camp you must have an employment goal and be:
